Jess Sheldon was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.    As an adult, she's found photography to be the truest means for expressing her genuine excitement for life. It began with her grandfather's Canon AE-1 film camera and her interest in documenting history and understanding human interactions.

In her adult life, her intrepid love of authenticity and adventure continues.

Whether clicking the shutter at 4 in the morning from a cold Maine mountaintop or composing original portraits, she aims for beauty balanced by humor, warmth and a touch of whimsy.
